The journey of the Blue Sumatra to the United States dates back to 1847, with significant advancements in its development attributed to Nelson A. Wood of the Smithsonian Institute. These chickens exhibit a pheasant-like elegance and have a natural inclination for foraging in lush, bushy areas.
